Westgate Elementary is a diverse pre-kindergarten through fifth grade neighborhood school in the Bear Creek area. The teachers here collaborate to design engaging and rigorous learning that challenges students to be curious and innovative.
All students at the school have access to technology which is used as a tool to engage students in meaningful ways. Westgate Elementary values community and family partnerships.
Title 1 School
Title I is the largest federally funded program for elementary and secondary education in the nation. The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) was authorized in 2015 by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).The passage of the ESSA provides the opportunity to improve outcomes for all students. ESSA assists Jeffco schools in achieving equity for those students most at risk of not meeting academic standards.Title I is designed to provide schools with additional academic support and learning opportunities that result in the academic proficiency of all students through best first instruction.
